Lovers reunited: Helen and Liam pair up on TV
BEING reunited with your ex on TV might t not be everyone’s cup of tea. But for r Dame Helen Mirren and Liam Neeson, it t was a chance to reminisce about their r five-year relationship in the Eighties.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show w last night, Dame Helen, 72, said: ‘We lived d together for four years – we were a serious item for a while. Lucky me!’
Neeson, 65, said: ‘I had read that if she e fancied a guy she would imitate his walk lk behind his back and I turned around one e day and she was doing that to me.’
The British stars fell for each other on the set of the 1981 film Excalibur, in which ch Dame Helen gave a sensual performance ce as the villainous Morgana.
Neeson said: ‘I remember being on the he set and standing with Ciaran Hinds as Helen en walked towards us dressed in her full Morgana orcostume and we both went, “Oh f***” **” and I was smitten. I think Ciaran was too oo but I was very smitten!’
