TRUMP WON’T SNUB THERESA

DONALD Trump will meet Theresa May at the World Economic Forum in Davos next week, a No10 spokesman confirmed.

The announcement came a day after reports the US President would snub the Prime Minister at the gathering, with suggestions Mr Trump had ‘no time in his schedule’ to meet her following recent clashes.

Mr Trump will be the first sitting US president to attend the summit of global business leaders and politicians at the ski resort since Bill Clinton in 2000.

Following her meeting this week with President Macron and amid Brexit negotiations, Mrs May replied ‘yes’ when a French TV interviewer asked if she felt European.

The PM added: ‘The United Kingdom is part of Europe and of course we will remain part of Europe. We have decided to leave the EU, that’s a decision that the British people took and we will be leaving the EU but we are not leaving Europe.’
