RVP BACK WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

ROBIN VAN PERSIE will sign for Feyenoord on Monday after agreeing to rejoin his boyhood club. The former Arsenal striker has sealed a move back to where his senior career began after Turkish side Fenerbahce allowed him to terminate his contract, which ran until June 2019. The Dutchman joined Feyenoord at 16 in 1999 and went on to play 78 games for the club. He signed for Arsenal in 2004, scoring 132 goals over eight seasons and winning the FA Cup. In 2012 he moved to Manchester United, where he won the Premier League title.

nMANCHESTE­R UNITED face a challenge to retain England Under 20 World Cup-winning goalkeeper Dean Henderson amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. Henderson has impressed while on loan at Shrewsbury in League One this season but only has six months left on his United contract.
