LEAGUE TWO THIS WEEKEND
HERO OF THE WEEK
MICHAEL FLYNN (Newport manager): He has performed a minor miracle since being appointed last March. County were 11 points from safety and effectively doomed. Somehow, in the last game of last season, they stayed up. No looking over their shoulder this time, though. The 2-1 win over Crawley was their third straight, moving them up to ninth. Play- offs are the aim and with this week’s added highlight of an fA Cup visit from Tottenham.
ZERO OF THE WEEK
OTIS KHAN (Yeovil): Someone who will miss the fA Cup limelight. The midfielder was set to take on his boyhood club Manchester United on friday but will have to watch from the stands after being sent off for shoulder barging referee Kevin Johnson in the 94th minute of the 2-1 home defeat by Chesterfield.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
MAXIME BIAMOU (Coventry v Swindon): A long ball forward was controlled by Jordan Maguire-Drew before he neatly passed back to Biamou, who rifled a 25-yard effort into the top corner. Coventry’s first in the 3-1 win over Swindon.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
LUTON boss Nathan Jones ( six points clear at the top after beating Morecambe 1-0): ‘Sometimes we might have to grind out results and we did. We’ve shown we are a stronger side than last year.’
STAT OF THE WEEK
4— Successive league wins for third-placed Accrington Stanley, who came from 2-0 down to beat Port Vale 3-2.
