CHrIStMAS cocktails were the tipple of choice over the festive period, according to revolution Bars.

the bar group’s most popular drink was the ‘Merry Kissmas’, made with vodka, vanilla liqueur, pineapple and cranberry juice and strawberry jam, served with a pack of Love Hearts pegged to the glass, and topped with raspberry sherbet. revolution toasted an almost 11pc rise in total sales in the 26 weeks to december 30 as it opened bars in Belfast, Solihull, Inverness and Putney.

In the four weeks to december 31 sales were up 5.9pc – a turnaround from May last year when shares plummeted 30pc after fears about the impact of the living wage on its profits.
