MOYES GETS HIS MAN AS MARIO SIGNS

WEST HAM have agreed a deal to sign attacking midfielder Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan after successful talks yesterday. The Italian side will loan the Portugal star to West Ham for around £1.2million with view to a permanent £26m deal in the summer. The 25-year-old has warmed to move after speaking to West Ham manager David Moyes. Mario (below) has 31 caps for Portugal and cost Inter £36m from Sporting Lisbon in 2016. West Ham are considerin­g a revised contract offer for Diafra Sakho to increase his basic wage. Rennes remain keen to sign the 28-year-old striker, as are Bordeaux who have just appointed Gus Poyet as their coach. The ex-Sunderland and Brighton boss Poyet also wants MIDDLESBRO­UGH striker Martin Braithwait­e and Bordeaux want a loan deal with a £7m option to buy. The 26-year-old, capped 16 times by Denmark, has six goals this season. BRIGHTON have had bids turned down for Bristol City defender Aden Flint and Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Brighton offered £6m for Flint, 26, and £8m plus add-ons for Serbian Mitrovic who Newcastle value at £15m.
