Ramsay’s jibe at PETA

GORDON Ramsay has landed himself in hot water with vegans after mocking a fan’s meat-free lasagne.

They had sent the Hell’s Kitchen star an image of their dish on Twitter, inviting him to rate it. In typical combative style, the chef replied: ‘I’m a member of PETA! People Eating Tasty Animals...’

But the response – a play on the name of the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – left animal rights activists less than impressed.

The chef, 51, was swiftly inundated with online abuse, with one user calling him ‘despicable’. Another wrote:

Twitter storm: Ramsay ‘I love you but you hating on vegans is getting out of hand.’ Others found his response hilarious. One wrote: ‘Absolute ripper of a response. I’m a member of this PETA too then!’
