Sex And The City star Kim mourns tragic brother
SEX And The City star Kim Cattrall announced the death of her brother last night after he had been missing for several days.
The 61-year- old actress said her ‘one of a kind’ brother Christopher Cattrall had died unexpectedly.
She tweeted: ‘It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall.
‘At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time.’
The news came just hours after the British-born actress, who played PR executive Samantha Jones in the US television sitcom from 1998 to 2004, had asked her fans to help spread the word to find the 55-year-old.
Miss Cattrall posted messages and a photograph of her 6ft brother on Instagrama dn Twitter, urging people to contact police in Blackfalds in Alberta, Canada, if they saw him.
She tweeted: ‘MISSING! This is my brother Christopher Cattrall or Chris as we call him.
‘He has been missing since Tuesday, January the 30th from his home in Lacombe, Alberta Canada.
‘His keys, cell phone,& wallet left on the table and his front door unlocked.
‘This is not like Chris. He he would never leave his unlocked home without those items nor his 7 beloved dogs. Help us bring him home safe.’
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Mr Cattrall was found dead on his property, and they were not treating the circumstances as suspicious. He was her only brother.
Born in Liverpool, Miss Cattrall moved to Canada with her family when she was a baby.
