Crumbs! Biscuit contest ditched

A BISCUIT-THROWING contest which usually drives thousands of West Country folk crackers has been scrapped after suppliers pulled the plug.

The Dorset Knob Throwing and Frome Valley Food Festival has been held in May for the past ten years.

But Moores Biscuits, of Morecombelake – the only firm to make the dry, savoury biscuit that is a local speciality – are not providing their product this year. However, partner David Winship vowed that the event will be ‘back with a bang’ in 2019 at Kingston Maurward.
