HOW HE BECAME A CENTURION

- JAMIE REDKNAPP

HARRY KANE raced into the record books, scoring his 100th Premier League goal in his 141st appearance. Only Alan Shearer, who needed 124 games, got there quicker. Here are Kane’s sensational stats... THAT may not have been the most spectacular of Harry Kane’s 100 Premier League goals but there will not be many more dramatic. What a fantastic feeling to reach the landmark at the Kop End. He looked nervous when he took the first penalty but it was as if he needed to get it out of his system. There was no doubt he would take the second one. It showed his mental resolve that he confidently dispatched it. Having taken penalties in front of the Kop for Liverpool, I can only imagine how nerve-racking it must have been for a visiting player. This goal will live long in the memory for Harry not just for its personal significance but its importance to Tottenham at the climax of a thrilling game.
