Terry was my idol... but now we’re enemies!

- Born To Do it by Craig David. It’s the one with the song 7 Days on it.

FIRST FOOTBALL MEMORY...

Watching West Ham on TV and seeing Steve Lomas smash someone up in the air!

BEST PLAYER I’VE PLAYED WITH...

Adam Lallana when I trained at Southampton, my first professional club. He used both feet well and seemed so much fitter than anyone else.

TOUGHEST OPPONENT...

There have been two. Fernando Torres, when Brentford played Chelsea in the FA Cup, and this season it has been Diogo Jota of Wolves.

FAVOURITE FOOTBALLING MOMENT...

Scoring at Wembley in the 2013 League One play-off final was an incredible feeling. But we lost the game 2-1 to Yeovil, so it didn’t feel great at the final whistle.

SPORTING HERO...

My idol growing up was John Terry. I was a West Ham fan and he played for Chelsea, but I really liked the way he played. We are enemies now he is at Aston Villa!

TOUGHEST AWAY GROUND...

Middlesbrough. I have never won there and we got beaten 2-0 this season.

THE FIRST ALBUM I BOUGHT... KARAOKE SONG...

I did i Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness when I came to Birmingham. It’s a high-pitched song so I tried to do it in a funny way!

BEST-DRESSED TEAM-MATE...

Michael Morrison. He is dressed to impress every day.

DREAM DINNER PARTY GUESTS...

I am a big film fan so Denzel Washington and Jennifer Aniston, for sure. I would also want someone from the world of sport. Bradley Wiggins would be good.

IF I WASN’T A FOOTBALLER...

I would be a chef. I enjoy cooking a lot. I’d make a nice pasta with chorizo.
