Anna Soubry threatened to quit the Tories last night if hardline Brexiteers took over.

She told BBC Newsnight the front bench ‘is in hock to 35 hard ideological Brexiteers’, adding: ‘It is about time Theresa... slung ‘em out.

‘I am not going to stay in a party which has been taken over by the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson. They are not proper Conservatives. We can’t go on like this.’
