Wonderful NHS

-

When the gP advised me to call an ambulance for my husband, who is 88, suffering from cancer and had developed an acute infection, I was terrified because of all the reports about the crisis in A&e.

The ambulance arrived within 15 minutes, the paramedics examined him and he was taken to A&e at West Middlesex hospital and straight into a cubicle. I saw only one ambulance parked outside A&e.

From the 999 operator to the paramedics and all the A&e staff, the care given was second to none. I was even given a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

I have nothing but praise for everyone who treated my husband until he was discharged and came back home. Many thanks for all their care and hard work. MARY C. DEAN, Hounslow, Middlesex.
