UNITED BID TO TURN UP VOLUME

MANCHESTER UNITED held a meeting with fans last week about the atmosphere at Old Trafford, even before manager Jose Mourinho criticised the ‘quiet’ home support after Saturday’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town. Board members discussed the issue with the Manchester United Supporters’ Trust and are set for more talks at a fans’ forum later this month to find a solution. Some supporters feel the make-up of the Stretford End is part of the problem as executive boxes and a family enclosure take up a large proportion of the stand, traditionally known as the raucous end of the stadium.
