Uma’s crash my biggest regret, admits Tarantino

-

QUENTIN Tarantino says Uma Thurman’s car crash on the set of Kill Bill is ‘the biggest regret of my life’.

The director said he had not considered the driving scene to be a ‘stunt’, but Miss Thurman lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. Tarantino had demonstrated the route was safe – but later switched the direction that Miss Thurman had to drive in.

Tarantino, pictured, said yesterday: ‘I am guilty, for putting her in that car, but not the way that people are saying I am guilty of it. It’s the biggest regret of my life, getting her to do that stunt.’

The director was responding to an interview by Miss Thurman, in which she not only discussed the crash but also alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Kill Bill’s executive producer, Harvey Weinstein.

Miss Thurman has said that she and Tarantino are now on good terms.
