Today’s poem

TODAY’S THE DAY!

Today is the day I do nothing, Though I’m not feeling ill, sad or weak. Today I will not reach my full potential, There will be nothing to search for or seek. Today is the day I’ll just keep breathing, In and out, very slowly, through my nose. No cooking or ironing or cleaning, I’m not thinking of washing any clothes. Today I will not relate well to my partner. Today I will not get involved In finding glasses or keys or wallets Or helping to get the crossword solved. Today I won’t volunteer for anything. I will not strive to be better at all. I will not use the phone or the laptop. I won’t answer the door to a call. Because this is my day for daydreaming, For lounging, not battling a quest!
