MAHREZ WILL MISS THE TRIP TO MAN CITY

RIYAD MAHREZ is set to miss a third league game for Leicester when Claude Puel’s side visit Manchester City on Saturday, Sportsmail understands. The Algerian did not report for training yesterday and sources believe he plans to remain away for the rest of this week at least, and that Puel is preparing for the match without him. Mahrez (right) has now missed two Premier League matches and four training sessions since he was priced out of a deadlineday move to City, a situation which left the forward disillusioned. Leicester officials are attempting to mediate for his return but the 2016 PFA Player of the Year is said to be in a fragile state of mind and the situation needs to be handled delicately. The Leicester manager admitted that he did not know when the winger would be back. Last week Frenchman Puel said: ‘I expect nothing. The most important thing is not to think about one player but to think about my team and my squad.’
