WEST HAM SET TO SIGN UNITED LEGEND EVRA

WEST HAM are close to signing free agent and former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. The 36-yearold is free to play in the Premier League despite his UEFA ban for aiming a kick at a Marseille fan during his time at the French club. Evra, who played under West Ham boss David Moyes at Old Trafford for a season, is due to have a medical today. Meanwhile, Hammers midfielder Pedro Obiang has had knee surgery and is likely to be out for the rest of the season. Obiang tore a ligament against Wigan last month.
