Kate puts her foot in it... again!
WE all put our foot in it occasionally – but rarely as publicly as the Duchess of Cambridge did yesterday when she got her heel stuck in grating during an official visit.
And proving that lightning can strike twice, the mishap mirrors a similar incident in 2013.
Kate, 36, who is six months pregnant with her third child, was stopped in her tracks yesterday when her 4in heel became wedged in the metal grille outside the Action on Addiction treatment centre in Wickford, Essex.
After being greeted by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Jonathan Douglas-Hughes – who slipped and fell when he met her and William in 2016 – Kate’s shoe lodged in the grating.
The Duchess, who is patron of the charity, extricated herself without fuss, and joked that at least they’d both slipped up now.
Five years ago, while five months pregnant with Prince George, she got her heel stuck in a grille during a military parade in Aldershot, Hampshire. Then, as yesterday, she extricated herself calmly, while holding Prince William’s arm, at Mons Barracks, home of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards.
