Gruelling regime that keeps Kelly trim at 58

SHE’S nearing her 60th birthday. But as this photo shows, Kelly Hoppen has a figure that would put most 20-somethings to shame.

However, the 58-year-old design guru has revealed she goes to extreme lengths to maintain her taut physique – including an ‘alkaline diet’ and daily workouts with three personal trainers.

The former Dragons’ Den star, who has styled the homes of celebritie­s including the Beckhams and Gwyneth Paltrow, says she exercises every day – adding that ‘nothing stops me training’.

Miss Hoppen – who was once married to Sienna Miller’s father Ed – does pilates on Monday, an hour and a half of weights and body sculpting on Tuesday and Thursday, and further personal training sessions on Wednesday and Friday, rounding things off with runs at the weekend.

And while insisting she would ‘never deny’ herself her favourite foods, she explained she follows an alkaline diet. Beloved by A-listers, this cuts out foods believed to produce acid, including wheat, refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods, and is claimed to combat diseases such as cancer and arthritis.

Miss Hoppen added: ‘What’s most important is to be positive in mind and body regardless of your age.’
