Why boast about sex at 14, Kate?
KATE MOSS has never set an example to anyone and refuses to be a role model for the young women who adore her.
But sometimes, I wish she would. Talking about first being signed up as a model, she said this week: ‘I was 14 and I’d just lost my virginity. So I thought I was the bee’s knees.’
That’s not very helpful. The sexual pressure on teenagers today is horrendous — far worse even than when Miss Moss was a kid. Online porn, dating apps, demands from older boyfriends plus peer pressure all make the sexual landscape a confusing place.
Too often, teenagers see sex as a form of validation, instead of a loving act that is part of a relationship.
Would it be too much for Kate to sound a note of caution about losing your virginity, instead of trumpeting an empty boast about how great it made her feel at only 14 years of age?
