ORLANDO SAYS: They are not romantic at all, but some people prize longevity above everything. however, i think carnations need a bit more imagination. There are some lovely colours out there but these are very ‘Seventies granny’. They’ll probably last weeks.

LASTING LOVE? As anticipated, these have the shelf life of silk flowers. By day nine, they are fully open and look better than the day they arrived. 9/10
