What City insiders are recommending . . .

BUY THIS: Cityfibre LIBERUM says now is the time to buy shares in internet cable layer Cityfibre.

The British firm, which is in competition with telecoms giant BT in the rollout of cutting-edge fibre broadband infrastructure, recently struck a deal to connect up to 5m homes for Vodafone.

Analysts at Liberum said: ‘We recommend buying the stock on current weakness.’

Liberum reiterated its target price of 80p. SELL THIS: TalkTalk ANALYSTS at Goldman Sachs have repeated a ‘Sell’ recommendation for embattled internet provider TalkTalk.

They said customer growth was likely down to price hikes by rivals and will slow in 2018.

TalkTalk shares were hammered last week after bosses warned on profits, cut the dividend and asked investors to stump up £200m to prop up the firm’s balance sheet.

Goldman has cut its target price to 100p from 130p.
