I’ve got a 100% winning record with England ... beat that!

- JOE BERNSTEIN

Ipswich Town

striker MARTYN WAGHORN, 28, on Gazza’s moment of genius at Wembley, going head to head with Nemanja Vidic, and how he’s the Prince of karaoke...

FIRST FOOTBALL MEMORY...

Watching Euro 96 when Gazza flipped the ball over Colin Hendry’s head and volleyed it in for England against Scotland at Wembley.

BEST PLAYER I’VE PLAYED WITH...

I have to name two because they are both quality. Steed Malbranque was at Sunderland when I was starting out and last season I was fortunate enough to play with Niko Kranjcar at Rangers.

TOUGHEST OPPONENT...

I came up against Nemanja Vidic on my Sunderland debut at 17, in 2007. He was just an all-round top defender and United won the game 4-0.

FAVOURITE FOOTBALLING MOMENT...

Playing for England Under 21s. It’s a great honour to represent your country and I won five caps for the 21s — and won all the games! Stuart Pearce was my boss and team-mates included Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Nathaniel Clyne.

SPORTING HERO...

Ronaldo. That’s the Brazilian rather than Cristiano!

TOUGHEST AWAY GROUND...

The Den at Millwall, even though I scored twice there earlier this season for Ipswich.

THE FIRST ALBUM I BOUGHT...

It would have been one by Eminem, even though I can’t remember exactly which one.

KARAOKE SONG...

The theme tune to Fresh Prince of Bel

Air by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. Classic!

BEST-DRESSED TEAM-MATE...

There are a few at Ipswich but Cole Skuse gets my vote. He always looks the part.

DREAM DINNER PARTY GUESTS...

Two comedians, Kevin Hart and Michael McIntyre, and Mark Walhberg. It wouldn’t be dull.

IF I WASN’T A FOOTBALLER...

Something in sport, a golfer or tennis player perhaps. My son is a decent tennis player and I’m involved with the Elena Baltacha Foundation in Ipswich, which helps provide free coaches for kids who wouldn’t normally be able to afford it.
