WE’RE ALL IN THE BILLIONAIRE PONY CLUB!

- Words: TANITH CAREY

WHETHER their families are royalty, Silicon Valley billionaires or famous rock stars, it seems there’s only one hobby of interest to the daughters of the world’s richest parents — the eye-wateringly expensive world of international showjumping.

Last weekend, Eve Jobs, daughter of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, was pictured at an equestrian event in Florida with Jessica Springsteen, leading the charge of privileged young women devoting a sizeable chunk of daddy’s fortune to the sport.

With champion showjumping horses fetching up to £8 million, handmade saddles costing £4,000 and £250,000 luxury horseboxes fitted with airconditioning, horse showers and CCTV, it’s no wonder the sport has become a favourite of the super-rich.

So, who are the showjumping heiresses — and how much of their family’s fortune have they blown on their very expensive hobby?
