I AM appalled that staff at the Foreign Office were invited to wear a hijab for a day in order to feel ‘liberated’ and that this was funded by taxpayers.

Prominent Muslims have criticised this ill-informed decision. Imagine the uproar and condemnation if Muslims were invited to celebrate Christian Sunday services or wear a crucifix for a day?
