‘JUICING — drinking only juices — for anything longer than a couple of days will have a profound effect on your skin,’ says Harley Street cosmetic dermatologist Dr Sam Bunting. ‘It can dry out as you’re not getting enough fatty acids — found in oily fish, seeds and nuts. And if you’ve already got a tendency to dry skin anyway, you might develop patches of eczema, as lack of fatty acids can compromise the skin’s barrier function in as little as a week, allowing allergens in.’
