MEET baby Cass, the newborn fourth son of football’s Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen – and the first of their children whose name does not begin with a K.
‘So happy to welcome our baby boy Cass Mac Rooney into the world weighing a healthy 8lb 10oz. He is beautiful,’ Mrs Rooney said on Twitter yesterday, posting the picture above of her cuddling the baby.
Cass is a brother to Kai, eight, Klay, four, and Kit, two. When revealing her pregnancy last year, Mrs Rooney said it would be ‘nice’ to have a girl this time. Her boy arrives just months after a marriage crisis. In August, Everton striker Rooney, 32, was caught driving a woman’s car while drunk. Laura Simpson, 29, claimed they had shared a ‘kiss and cuddle’ while his family was away. He was later banned from driving.
Mrs Rooney, 31, is said to have fled to her parents’ home for a time, allegedly screaming: ‘The world is laughing at me. How could you do this to me while I’m pregnant?’
