Shaw raid sparks Rovers romp
HULL KR notched their first victory since returning to Super League in emphatic style, scoring four tries as they swept aside hapless Catalans Dragons at the KCOM Stadium. Ryan Shaw dived over inside five minutes as Rovers raced to a 16-0 half-time lead, with additional scores from Mose Masoe and Shaun Lunt. Debutant Danny Tickle sealed the win after the break, though the Dragons did hit back through David Mead before Chris Atkin added a drop goal for Rovers at the death. Man of the match Lunt said: ‘We’ve had two tough games, (losing to) Wakefield and Leeds, so it’s great to get two points on the board.’ Catalans coach Steve McNamara called his side’s display ‘horrible’. ‘In the first half we couldn’t have played any worse,’ he admitted.
