HULL’S CRISIS OVER CUP-TIED DEFENDERS

HULL face the bizarre dilemma of having three key defenders ineligible tonight. Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Michael Hector are all Chelsea loanees — and therefore unable to play. Without them and battling an injury crisis, the Tigers have no recognised right back and probably just one senior central defender: recent arrival Angus MacDonald. Manager Nigel Adkins admits he will have some players operating out of position and will also need to use some youth-team players.
