ADVERTISING giant WPP’s share price has s tarted to make headway after US advertiser Interpublic said the industry will enjo y a comeback this year.
WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell previously described 2017 as the worst year for advertising in a decade.
The sector had a tumultuous 12 months as companies cut spending, and adv ertising on social media plat forms like Facebook became more pre - dominant. Shares rose 4.2pc, or 59p, to 1471p.
