Max Clifford wins his memorial — in prison
WHEN disgraced public relations ‘guru’ max Clifford was in his pomp, he probably imagined he would be celebrated after his death with a funeral attended by famous faces from showbusiness, the media and politics.
in fact, the celebrity fixer’s memorial service will be held today at Hm Prison Littlehey — with fellow sex offenders making up the congregation.
‘the inmates wanted to remember max,’ a source at the Cambridgeshire prison tells me. Clifford had served three years at Littlehey when he collapsed in his cell last December following a heart attack. He died two days later at the age of 74.
the controversial publicist, who was known for his ‘kiss-and-tell’ clients, was sentenced to eight years in jail after being found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault on four girls and women aged between 15 and 19.
