Attenborough,91 to host ANOTHER series on nature
HE HAS played down talk of an impending retirement, insisting he will keep working for as long as he possibly can.
And Sir David Attenborough is certainly being kept busy by the BBC, as it was announced yesterday the 91year-old will front yet another natural history series later this year.
Hot on the heels of Blue Planet II, the veteran naturalist will home in on five animals – lions, hunting dogs, chimpanzees, tigers, and emperor penguins – in a programme called Dynasty. While the title of the series might conjure up images of 1980s US soap opera, the new show will focus on cat fights of a different kind.
Sir David will explore how these animals protect their families and ensure their continued survival in hour-long episodes on BBC1. Director of content, Charlotte Moore said: ‘Four years in the making, capturing extraordinary family dynamics and behaviour, I hope these intimate animal dramas connect with audiences just as Blue Planet II and Planet Earth II did.’
