Tune into music

-

I’M SO glad I’m not the only one who has given up on Radio 4’s Today programme (Mail). Quentin Letts is spot-on with his analysis of what this previously required listening programme has become (Mail).

It is a constant drip- drip message that anti- Brexit, supercilious, university educated, EU- loving Remainers are right about this and snivelling, uneducated Europe-hating Brexiteers are wrong, wrong, wrong.

I manage about half-an-hour before I reach for the dial and tune into the more dulcet tones of Classic FM. JEAN COMBEN, Truro, Cornwall. HOW I agree with Quentin Letts about the joy of listening to classical music. It’s my retreat from the busy-ness of life, the news, the computer and every other demand on me. Beautiful, inspiring music has a calming, mesmerising effect.

It revitalises my soul and invigor-ates me to step back into the real world again. Mrs COLLEEN BRUNTON,

Enfield, Middlesex. LIKE Quentin Letts, aching political correctness, anti-Brexit bias and banging on endlessly about wimmin’s issues have driven me away from the Today programme. What a relief to listen to Nick Ferrari on LBC. ANDREW THOMAS,

Lewes, E. Sussex.
