Capaldi’s £75 autograph fee

HIS spell as Doctor Who split fans and led to the lowest viewing figures since the show returned to our screens 13 years ago.

Now some are upset it will cost £75 to get Peter Capaldi’s autograph at the London Film and Comic Con.

The 59- year- old actor, pictured, is one of the main draws at a fan convention in July and will give a talk. There is also a chance to meet the former Time Lord with a ‘diamond pass’ consisting of an ‘exclusive mug, photo, autograph and priority seat’ – for £225.

Many Doctor Who fans were not impressed. Writing on a Facebook fanpage, John Hogg said: ‘This is just taking the p***– most autographs are average price £20-40.’

Nigel Peever added: ‘I think the actors should consider their role in this matter.’

It will cost only £15 to get the autograph of Colin Baker, who played the sixth incarnation of the time traveller.
