Has Ed wed Mystery as singer sports ring at gig
JuST a month after he announced his engagement the nation’s favourite troubador Ed Sheeran has sparked speculation that he may have already married longterm girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
The singer caused a frenzy of excitement among fans on Monday night after he was pictured wearing what looked suspiciously like a wedding band when he took to the stage at the O2 arena as part of 2018’s War Child Brits Week in London.
‘Oh my God, Ed Sheeran is a husband,’ one fan gushed.
In January the 27-year-old revealed to his 19 million followers on Instagram that he had popped the question. ‘Got myself a fiance [sic] just before new year,’ he said. ‘We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well.’ (They have two, Dorito and Calippo).
The announcement was accompanied by a touching photograph of Ed with his arms around Cherry, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Chart- topper Sheeran, who’s worth £60 million, has not yet made any comment about the ring. His spokesman was unable to answer any inquiries yesterday.
The couple met while they were pupils at Thomas Mills High School in rural Suffolk and are believed to
have started dating in 2015. Cherry later took a degree in molecular biology and represented England in the Under-21 hockey team.
The 25-year- old now works as a senior consultant in risk advisory at prestigious accounting firm Deloitte. Sheeran once commented that he had carefully planned out the placing of his 60 tattoos so he could easily hide them on his wedding day. ‘You will never see them in a suit,’ he said. ‘I want to get married and look great.’
