Songbird Kate gives pal a sweet surprise...
AFTER hosting a civilised luncheon to celebrate her 44th birthday last month, it was only a matter of time before Kate Moss returned to her old ways.
The former wild child surprised guests at fashion photographer Mert Alas’ 47th birthday bash in Mayfair, London, this week, where she gave a performance that few were likely to forget.
Hiding inside a giant white cake adorned with a velvet bow, the supermodel, who has a 15-yearold daughter with magazine publisher Jefferson Hack, was wheeled out into the middle of the room where she jumped out and sang Happy Birthday.
The sultry rendition was reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s 1962 performance for U. S. president John F. Kennedy.
Kate, who showed off her trim figure in a tight brocade-print dress and gold heels, finished her performance by flinging her arms around the birthday boy.
