WEST HAM CHARGED FOR ‘WHEREABOUTS’ DOPING VIOLATION
WEST HAM have been charged by the FA with a breach of anti-doping rules. The east London club are facing a possible sanction for three ‘whereabouts’ failures in 12 months. Clubs must provide details of training sessions and player whereabouts so they are available for testing at all times. Manchester City were fined £35,000 last year for a similar offence and last month Arsenal committed a possible breach when Alexis Sanchez missed a test as he was completing his transfer from to Manchester United. West Ham have until February 27 to respond.
