Boris Johnson’s lookalike half-brother Max Johnson has eloped with his stunning Brazilian girlfriend and has got married in indonesia.

Max, 32, who works for Goldman sachs in hong Kong, shared this picture of himself online kissing his brunette bride Gabriela Maia under a floral arch at their beach wedding on the island of sumba.

‘ it was supposed to be an ordinary holiday, but we realised we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and couldn’t wait any longer,’ he captions the snap online.

‘i proposed on Monday (she said yes!) and totally impulsively, we got married on sunday — only telling our parents to get their blessing. now we are pleased to announce our happiness and our “elopement” to our beloved friends. We love you all!’

Max’s casual dress was a clear indication of his impulsiveness. he wore white cotton trousers and a short-sleeved white shirt, while Gabriela accessorised her dress with a veil that reached down to the sand. While none of the Johnson clan were invited to the wedding, they are delighted with his choice of bride. ‘so happy and thrilled with my new sister-in-law,’ says author and journalist rachel Johnson on Gabriela’s social media page. ‘ You will bring the much needed supermodel Clockwise from top left: Gabriela and Max seal their union with a kiss in Sumba; posing with Max’s father Stanley; Gabriela showing off her model legs; and Max with half-brother Boris Brazilian BUnDA gene to the family — am so happy for you both. Congratulations dear Gaby and Maxi.’

Max shares Foreign secretary Boris’s love of jogging and has run the north Korean halfmarathon in Pyongyang. he is stanley Johnson’s youngest son by his second wife Jenny.

Ex-model Gabriela does Pr for refined Travellers, a sustainable luxury travel company based in hong Kong. she speaks four languages (English, Mandarin, Portuguese and spanish) and has a degree in marketing from the University of hull.

The Johnsons have form when it comes to unconventional nuptials. When Boris married his first wife, Allegra Mostynowen, he forgot his morning suit and was forced to borrow clothing and cufflinks from Tory MP John Biffen. Within an hour of being married, he had lost his wedding ring.
