55 days: Now in a cot in his new blue hat

ALFIE has defied the odds and is back to the less intensive HDU ward, sporting a hand-knitted blue hat from Auntie Jolly. We have had so many gifts and cards, it feels as though everyone is wishing Alfie well. Thank goodness for our friends — while I was able to start my maternity leave early, Lewis is selfemployed and had to return to work within days, so they’ve been a huge emotional support.
