GERRARD JOY AT BEATING BUTT

STEVEN GERRARD screamed and shook his fists and celebrated in a throwback to his playing days as his Liverpool side beat a United outfit coached by his old foe Nicky Butt. Nothing will replace the buzz of being a footballer but after Rafael Camacho’s 77th-minute strike, there was a glimpse into how much he is enjoying his new life as a manager. Camacho had just jinked down Manchester United’s left before smashing a shot into the top corner to give Liverpool a two-goal lead, following Ben Woodburn’s first-half effort. Butt labelled United’s display as ‘unacceptable’ and Liverpool will now face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League.
