Selfish ambulances
I LIVE in a cul- de- sac and have seen ambulances parked with no consideration for other road users (Mail) — or for residents who have no connection with the call-out.
They have parked in the middle of the road, blocking other cars for over an hour, even though there were parking spaces next to the property.
A neighbour called 999 at night and, after dealing with the problem, the ambulance was parked across my driveway while the technicians noisily rearranged the stretchers, with their lights and flashers on, keeping me awake until 3am.
I know they have to attend as quickly as possible, but just a little
thought would mean they would not cause problems for other people.
