SOS —SAVE OR SPEND

I haven’t saved for retirement; I cannot tell a lie, I’ve lived my life irresponsibly And you may ask me why! I’ve never earned much money, But what I did, I spent, From every pound and dollar To every penny and cent. I dared to have a good time, Though never got in debt, I earned and spent and spent and earned And haven’t regretted it yet! Why save up for your old age, An age that may not come? Putting your money in a locked up vault And depriving yourself of fun! So to the ‘oldies of the future’, These words are truly meant: Be like me and dare to say: ‘Not a penny was misspent!’
