Try a bath belt

-

NEED help getting in and out of your bath tub? A bath lift can be a simple and affordable alternative to a walk-in tub or shower. It will lower and lift you gently in and out of the water — allowing you to enjoy easy, comfortable, full-depth bathing with far less risk of slipping or falling while trying to get over the high side of a standard tub. This is how it works. A large fabric band on a roller is fitted to the wall beside the bath, by means of a wall-mounted unit with a built-in grab bar. The other end of the band then slots into a floormounted bracket that sits beside the bath, so that the band lies across its width. You sit on the taut band, click a button and are then lowered to the bottom as the band slowly extends so that you can lie back and have a proper soak, using your bath in the usual way. To raise up, click the button again and the band retracts, lifting you back up. If other members of the family wish to use the bath at any time, the band retracts into the unit, leaving it free of obstruction. Battery operated, there are no wires to worry about — just recharge the unit every seven to ten days. And it can be fitted in under an hour. It means you can continue to enjoy a relaxing bath, while retaining your independence and privacy.
