Stricken chicken

KFC has changed the distributor of chicken to its shops and this has resulted in chaos.

If we leave the Customs Union, the whole way we import food will be changed.

I have no doubt the KFC fiasco is a warning of what could happen. Trucks will be queuing for days to go through Customs, leading to food having to be destroyed. FOR those readers suffering from withdrawal symptoms as a result of the problems at KFC, may I offer my DIY recipe? My version is roasted, so should be healthier.

You’ll need a pack of chicken thighs, an egg, breadcrumbs and a jar of cajun spice.

Pre-heat the oven to 175c. In a bowl, beat the egg. On a plate, scatter the breadcrumbs and season to taste with the cajun spice. Dip each chicken thigh in the egg, then coat in the breadcrumbs. Roast on a baking tray for 40 minutes. Delicious!
