Bulger killer’s ‘wedding plans’

CHILD killer Jon Venables is engaged and plans to marry when he leaves prison, it was claimed yesterday.

The 35-year- old, who was jailed for 40 months on child pornography charges three weeks ago, is understood to have proposed last year. The woman, who friends said has been showing off her engagement ring, is aware he murdered two-year-old James Bulger in 1993.

Venables and accomplice Robert Thompson were ten when they snatched James in Bootle, Merseyside, and tortured him to death. They were released and given new identities after eight years in custody. A source told The Sun on Sunday the woman is willing to give Venables the chance to build a life together.

Venables and his girlfriend were living together when probation workers discovered a laptop containing 1,160 files of child abuse images and videos hidden behind a headboard in his bedroom last November. He admitted downloading the images from the dark web, as well as owning a ‘sickening’ paedophile manual.

The Attorney General is investigating whether Venables’ latest secret identity has been leaked by prison inmates.
