Showman who picks his moment perfectly
ROBERTO FIRMINO’S piece of showboating made it 3- 0 to Liverpool on Saturday. His other ‘no-look’ goals against Sevilla and Swansea made it 3-0 and 4-0 respectively.
Would he have the balls to do it when it’s 0-0? Or when his team are trailing? We know the answer.
Even so, it shows you the confidence Firmino has. Not many players would dare to do such a thing in front of the Kop, no matter the score.
It’s just for show. It would not actually put anybody off. But the no-look pass comes naturally to Firmino. We like to see showmen but I’m not sure Jurgen Klopp would be overly happy if he did it in a big game when it was all square.
Firmino isn’t a conventional centre forward, but he works hard and Klopp likes athletic players who can run and close opponents down.
He has that pace and workrate and is such a threat.
