Postie comes to DJ Zoe Ball’s rescue after she falls off bike

-

BBC DJ Zoe Ball’s house move from bustling Brighton to the sleepy East Sussex village of Ditchling is already creating a stir after the local postman had to act as Sir Galahad when the presenter fell off her bike.

Postman Chris Medhurst revealed on his social media page: ‘You stop to help a female cyclist who has fallen over (an unclipping pedal issue). Next thing you know it turns out it was Zoe Ball (disguised by shades and a helmet) training for Sport Relief.’ Zoe, 47, who now lives in a £970,000 18th-century home in the village after splitting from Norman Cook, aka musician Fatboy Slim, is training for a 300-mile five- day bike ride to raise awareness of mental health.

It follows the death of her boyfriend Billy Yates, who suffered from depression and was found dead at his home last May, aged 40.

She has now found new love with construction firm boss Michael Reed.
