Impossible Railways, 8pm, Yesterday SPEED is the word for this last part, which visits an extreme track in New Mexico where the U.S. Air Force conducts testing — and where the land speed record has been broken seven times. There’s also a visit to Japan to learn about their amazing bullet trains.

ACTION ADVENTURE

The Mummy, 8pm, Sky Premiere IT WAS meant to launch a new cinematic universe of famous phantoms to rival Marvel’s superheroe­s. Instead, it’s Tom Cruise on a Mission: Impossible with monsters. Sofia Boutella is the demonic presence from ancient Egypt who takes a shine to him.

MISSING BOY MYSTERY

The Disappeara­nce, 9pm, Universal MOODY new six-part Canadian thriller about a boy who vanishes during a treasure hunt on his tenth birthday. There’s an aching quality to the string music threaded through it and a low-key naturalism from a cast that includes Aden Young (pictured) and Camille Sullivan as the boy’s parents.

FAMILY TIES

Here And Now, 9pm, Sky Atlantic IN PART two of this drama from Alan Ball (Six Feet Under), the meaning of the Farsi words from Ramon’s dream becomes apparent. That might or might not be significan­t, but it hardly matters — the complex family drama that sits underneath it all is enough by itself.

BREAKING UP

Divorce,, 10.10pm,p, Skyy Atlantic BACK for a second series comes this bitterswee­t comedy, written by Sharon Horgan (Catastroph­e). Frances and Robert (Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church, pictured) have now finalised their divorce, and it’s time to move on — and that means Robert shaving off his moustache.

BEHIND THE CAMERAS

Unreal, Amazon Prime THE return of the brutally cynical drama set behind the scenes of a U.S. TV dating contest, run by a manipulati­ve producer and her immensely capable but unstable underling. Season three mixes things up by featuring a female suitor instead of a male one. A new episode arrives every Tuesday.
