GROVES TARGETS JULY RETURN AFTER SURGERY

GEORGE GROVES has applied for his World Super Series final against Callum Smith to be postponed by a month after shoulder surgery. WBA super-middleweight champion Groves is scheduled to fight on June 2 at the O2 Arena. ‘We will be applying for a one-month extension and are hopeful of securing this,’ the 29-year-old tweeted.
